This October DAFC will once again be inducting former players at their annual dinner dance for Dunfermline Athletic Football Club's Hall of Fame.  This year's Hall of Fame is guaranteed to be a great event with a great speaker and some great players from our past being inducted this year into our Hall of Fame.

East Fife Manager Stevie Crawford is to be inducted into the Dunfermline Athletic Hall of Fame.  The 36 year old will be honoured at the Hall of Fame night at Forrester Park Resort on Saturday 9th October alongside the youngest member of the 1961 Scottish Cup winning team, Cammy Fraser.

Stevie Crawford had three spells with the Pars.  When he was younger when he signed 'S' forms but the current Pars assistant coach Jimmy Nicholl took him to Raith Rovers when he was the manager. On his return to Dunfermline for the 2002-03 season, he formed a great partnership with Craig Brewster and the two complimented each other well to produce a lot of goals together.

On his way to setting an SPL goalscoring record (18) for the Pars he was recalled to Berti Vogt's Scotland team and has re-established himself at international level since winning his second Scottish cap in April 2001. After the 2004 Scottish Cup Final he signed for Plymouth Argyle but after playing with Aberdeen and Dundee United returned to the Pars.

He came on as sub in the 2007 Scottish Cup final to make it three Scottish Cup finals in four years, all unluckily on the losing side. In total he made 221 appearances for Dunfermline scoring 79 goals.

Cammy Fraser who is now 69 was a member of Dunfermline's Scottish Cup winning team in 1960/61 and an Under 23 Cap the following season, Fraser was transferred to Aston Villa for £23,500 in October 1962.  Jock Stein joked that the new main stand should have been named after him as the fee went a long way to paying it off.  Despite a good start at Villa, where he played in the League Cup Final, he lost his place and moved to Birmingham for £9.000 in May 1964.  Two years later he joined Falkirk, his last senior club.

Jim Leishman MBE will be hosting the event and Roy Barry has kindly agreed to speak at our event which is even more special given its our 125th anniversary year.

Roy was Captain of Dunfermline's 1968 Scottish Cup winning side in which he has very fond memories. He left Dunfermline in 1969 to join Coventry City for 4 years then moved on to Crystal Palace. After two years at Palace Roy moved back north in 1975 to play alongside his former team mate Alex Edwards at Hibs and ended his career in season 1976/77 at East Fife. Dunfermline has always remained close to Roy's heart and we look forward to hearing all the stories and laughs from the "good old days"

Following all the formal speeches and once all our past players have been inducted into the Hall of Fame Heatwave will get everyone up on their feet to dance the night away.

Tickets for the event will be priced at £49 per person (inc vat) and the evening will be a black tie event.
