Much sought after following impressive Scottish Cup Semi Final and Final appearances against Celtic and Dundee United, joined Dunfermline from Ross County for season 2010-11. An FA Youth Cup winner whilst in the Leeds United youth set-up, Alex is a strong and confident left sided defender. Able to play at left back or as a centre back, Alex also gained an Honours Degree in Chartered Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University before embarking on his professional football career.
Alex played junior football with Shotts Bon Accord, and in 2005 returned to senior football with Stranraer before moving on to Ross County in 2006.
