After the game Adam Hammill was heading home to Liverpool with his family who had travelled north to see the 19 year old on the Hampden stage in the semi final against Hibs. Before doing so he passed comment on the match:-

"We are all pleased with the result, it was a good game, we defended really well and hopefully a week Tuesday we can get a result and play like that again."

Adam was subbed near the end when Owen Morrison came on for him, he explained:-

"I thought the pitch was very wide but I was tight early on. I felt my hamstring towards the end, it was just cramp because it was a big pitch. Personally I did OK but I can do a lot better. Going forward we left McIntyre and didn't really support him as much as we could.

"We created chances, same as last week we did well again. We said we were going to get at them from the word go. We were not going to be defensive and we were here to get at them."

For the English U19 internationalist this was his first taste of Hampden, what was his impression?

"Even not full the atmosphere was great. I thought the Dunfermline fans played their part really well, they showed a lot of support and we are grateful for that. Hopefully if they come out in their numbers next Tuesday we will give them something to cheer about."

Asked whether the replay was yet another game that Dunfermline do not need as they scrape for their SPL survival Adam insisted:-

"Not at all. I think after next Tuesday the next game is a week Monday so that will be a big game at St Mirren but we are confident that we can win most of our games from now until the end of the season. We have got to do."

Adam has two years left on his contract at Liverpool and didn't rule out returning to Scotland for a further on loan period:-

"The standard is very good and you don't get recognition for the kind of quality that you saw today. We have good technical players but down south the view is that it is more of a physical league."
