Andy Barrowman Pre Hearts

"It is frustrating that we're not getting results but we're the only ones who can change that.

Andy Barrowman

Pars striker Andy Barrowman says he's expecting a tough game against Hearts on Saturday, but thinks there will be a few goals. Andy says:-

"It will be a tough game.  It always is when you go to Tynecastle.  It's a great stadium and there's always a great atmosphere with the fans right on top of you. Three points are precious wherever they come and we've got to go out and get them.  We're more than capable of doing that with the team that we've got and although results haven't gone our way there have definitely been improvements in recent weeks.  We've not been getting the breaks we deserve and not taking points out of games we should have got something.   But we're going there wih confidence because it's a game we can definitely win."

Andy says he shares the fans frustration at the lack of results but knows if the team continue to play as they have done of late then the results will come.  He says, "It is frustrating that we're not getting results but we're the only ones who can change that.  If we continue to play the way we've done in the last couple of weeks I hope results will even themselves out.  We can't continue to have bad luck all of the time!  But if we push on and continue to play even better the results - and the points - will come."

The striker is pleased with his own form since returning from injury and says, "I'm happy with my form since coming back from injury.  I've chipped in a couple of goals and that's my job at the end of the day.  I know I can go on and get a few more goals under my belt.  Anybody who has watched us this season knows we're set up to score goals.  Fair enough, we've also conceded too many this season, but we play a great system and as a striker that's fine by me."

The bad weather in the last week has meant a change to the training schedule for the players, with much of it done indoors and at various locations around the country.  Andy says, "It's been difficult. We're here there and everywhere, indoors and in the gym and trying to get things done.  It's just one of these things and we've just got to adapt.  Every other club in Scotland is facing the same difficult so we're not alone in that.  As players we've just got to go with the flow and get on with it."

Andy says that there is no substitute for training on grass and anything else does make a different.  He says, "There definitely is a difference.  It's different on the muscles and you feel it more the next day when you've trained indoors.  However, needs must, and I'd rather train there than not at all.  The older guys may disagree with me; I know that the older you get the more of a toll it takes on your back and your knees."
