Signed an 18 month contract when joining from Irish League Champions Shelbourne on 12th January 2007.  Bobby came through from youth side Geraldines to play for his home town club, Limerick City from the age of 18. He went on to play for Galway United before joining Bohemians where he won the League under the stewardship of his current boss, Stephen Kenny.  He joined Shels from Bohemians in November 2004 and played in the Inter Toto Cup in 2006 but left Champions League qualifiers, Shelbourne to join Dunfermline's fight for SPL survival.

Bobby enjoyed playing wide on the wing but could drop in behind the strikers or even play in the frontline. 

In season 2006-2007: 5 appearances for Dunfermline, 0 goals.
