Statement from the Board of the Pars Supporters' Trust

East End Park

First of all we would like to thank you for your financial contributions over the recent weeks. We asked you, the fans and wider community, to help us raise enough money to get us through to the end of the season and "Save the Pars". We are now very close to successfully reaching that initial stage.

As we pointed out back in April, once this initial goal was in sight we would move with Pars United to the next very critical phase "Buy the Pars"
It is important for you all to be aware that from now on, no more fund raising will be undertaken by Pars United for the benefit of DAFC and that all funds generated by them will be for the purpose of "Buy the Pars".
Please note that if you are making a regular payment to us, your money will continue to be used by the BDO for the day to day running of the club.  However if there is a surplus when we exit administration, money will go to the new buyer. You may therefore wish at some time in the future to cancel your standing order or direct debit (this does not refer to your membership subscription SO) and instead donate to "Buy the Pars". Of course we would be happy to continue to receive regular donations as we progress through this difficult time.

The anticipated target that the world wide Pars Family requires to raise before the end of July is in the region of £500,000. All capital raised will be held in secure trust accounts, to allow your money to be repaid if a CVA is not successful.

The Pars United Strategy Group has set a target of £400,000 for Pars Patrons (those who will donate in excess of £5,000), and £100,000 for Pars Supporters who will donate amounts from £100 to £5,000.

You may have seen in the press, or those of you who were at the Pars United Launch Night at the Alhambra on Wednesday 22nd May will know, a new "Buy the Pars" website is now in place. This will allow you to donate to "Buy the Pars", which will be operated by The Pars Supporters' Trust, taking into account our "trust" status under FCA Rules. The website also provides full information on the fan ownership structure and includes secure payment facilities to allow you to make your donation.

Can we ask that you now visit www.buythepars.org which will give you a clearer picture. There are a number of frequently asked questions available and also a video from the launch night on Wednesday 22nd May. If instead you wish to make a cheque or cash donation to the 'Buy the Pars' campaign, please get in touch by emailing us on parstrust@yahoo.co.uk and we will send you an application form to complete.

Together, we can rebuild the reputation of The Pars and regain a position of prominence in Scottish football. We would like to thank you once again for your valued support.
