"If I was in their position I would want to win every game up to the end of the season.

Callum Morris is hoping to follow up his Man of the Match performance against Cowdenbeath with a similarly important one against the newly crowned First Division champions on Saturday:-

"We had to get the three points at all cost to jump out of that ninth place. We did that with a young team that didn't have much experience but obviously have stepped up and proved that they are capable of playing at this level. We are very pleased with that and it looks good for the future of the Club, on the pitch anyway."

The young players who have been introduced to first team football have been training throughout the season with the first team squad so the 23 year old defender is not surprised that they have had success.

"They were never tried in a first team game or league game, it is completely different from training. They have stepped up and not looked out of place at all. That is really pleasing especially for their coach John Potter who has been with them all year. It is a massive achievement them getting to the Youth Cup Final as well. That progression from youth team to first team has maybe come a bit early for some of them but it has not been too soon in my eyes."

The pressure last Saturday was not overwhelming claimed Callum since he and his team mates felt that they had enough in their team to beat Cowdenbeath.

"The points deduction it doesn't look too good but we knew that we were the better team and capable of taking the three points. We went out there and did the business. We didn't make it easy for ourselves; only a penalty and at 1-0 it was a bit nail biting at the end. That is football though."

Partick Thistle will be hoping to have a celebration at their last home game of the season and some might consider that they no longer have anything to fight for. Callum feels that Thistle will want to keep up their impressive run of seventeen matches without defeat and keeping eight spot in the league table will be tough.

"If I was in their position I would want to win every game up to the end of the season. I can't see them taking their foot off the pedal too much. It is a good opportunity for us because we will be the underdogs and people have probably written us off already. We are happy with that label and hopefully we do what we have done in the last two weeks, keep a clean sheet and the three points."

The match could pitch Callum into battle with two of his defensive team mates from just five weeks ago - Andy Dowie and Jordan McMillan. The former Pars players have been fortunate to find a new club quickly and off course now they will be wanting to prove that they could be useful to Thistle in the SPL. Callum continued:-

"It is nice to see that they have got somewhere to play. They have won the league as well but it will be nice to see them again and hopefully they can do us a little favour."
