Gall gets his county

Friday, 29th Mar 2013

"It is really quite worrying when the administrator comes in and uses the term 'brutal cuts' and 'its the worst that he has ever seen'.

PAUL GALLACHER quotes

Pars goalkeeper, Paul Gallacher has been lucky to find another club, joining Ross County on Friday afternoon. Released by the Interim Administrator at Dunfermline Gall goes to the Dingwall club who have been without the services of Mark Brown since their win at Pittodrie at the end of February. Michael Fraser has been in goal for the Staggies since and Paul will greatly strengthen Derek Adams squad as they push for a place in Europe next season.

PAUL GALLACHER Before leaving Pitreavie on Friday Paul spoke to the website and revealed how devastated he was with the Interim Administrator's meeting the previous afternoon:-

"I know that there is no right way to tell somebody that they have lost their job but to hand out a piece of paper to the gaffer and be called out in front of your peers is quite disrespectful. It is a disgusting manner in which to lose your job but cuts had to be made. I do not hold it against the administrator, he is in with a job to clear up this mess that somebody has created. It is going to be a struggle for all involved at this moment in time but I just hope that they come out better and stronger at the end of it.

"It was a sore one to take because that has been six months of loyalty and hard work from the playing and other staff at the Club. To be handled in that manner was quite disappointing. It is really quite worrying when the administrator comes in and uses the term 'brutal cuts' and 'its the worst that he has ever seen'. It is not great from that part that it has been allowed to get in this mess.

PAUL GALLACHER

"Administration is not nice at all. You see things on TV in the past and going through that is tough. You want to have a go at people but you need to remain calm and just get on with it. I am away from the Dunfermline situation and just need to move on with my career.

"None of the authorities - SFA or SFL - have come and helped. There has been six months of us not being paid and that is shocking really. In any other walk of life somebody would have stepped in and tried to help them out and put sanctions in place. Nothing has happened and the guys left have a massive uphill battle and I wish them every success. I hope that they do well because they have yet to hear what this points deduction will be."

Paul Gallacher

The 33 year old keeper made 135 appearances for the Pars and now he is glad to have found a new club so fast:-

"I am a footballer and that's all that I have done since I was sixteen years of age. I wanted to continue playing and only had a short period of time to try and prolong that."

Thank you Paul Gallacher, all the very best at Ross County.
