Hubble to trouble the Stranraer bubble

Stephen Husband has been taking note of the form of the next opponents on the Pars fixture schedule. After losing their first two league games of the season, Stranraer have lost only three more times in League One and two of those were against Dunfermline. The Stair Park club will be attempting to make it twelve games unbeaten on Saturday, Stephen commented:-
"I think they have been on an amazing unbeaten run and they've obviously got a good result against Rangers as well, so they are ones to watch.
We've got to be at the top of our game to get the three points on Saturday."Obviously we've got the points in the bag but they've got a game in hand and can move to within two points on Saturday if they beat us. So it's a big three points to grab on Saturday to try and keep the gap we've got at five."
Hubby started the Pars comeback in the match down in the south west in October, scoring an equaliser in 49th minute. He remembered the match well although it was the weather that he recalled first:-
"It was a tough game at Stair Park and the conditions were very difficult. It was worst rain we've probably played in and the wind was difficult to play in as well, but the boys probably showed a different side to what we usually are. We normally like to get the ball down and pass but we had to dig it out that day and that was the first time we had done it in those conditions away from home. It was good to see the boys show that bit of character."
Hubby celebrates his goal
Stranraer have a game in hand against Forfar Athletic but should they win at East End Park and that game against Dick Campbell's side then they would go second. Dunfermline can prevent that by making it three wins out of three against Stranraer this season. Hubby feels that is possible since the team is playing really well:-
"We've had a good first half of the season and you can say that we want to just kick on. We're playing some good football so the Club is definitely going in the right direction."
The 23 year old is happy at Dunfermline and would like to stay as part of an exciting maturing side:-
"It's important to keep the team we've got together and you get speculation - that could be bringing players in or players going. But we've got to concentrate on what we've got here and keep working with the boys we've got here.
"My contract is up at the end of the season but I'm enjoying my time here and the team is doing well, so I've no quibbles about staying here.
