The Schools penalty kick competition has been a keen contest with six of the local high schools entering. It is an initiative that is fully supported by Interim Chairman Bob Garmory who said:-

"It has captured the interest of our fans as the two teams have shot it out at half time in our last six home matches. On behalf of the club I would like to thank the schools, the referees and our co-ordinator Christine Scott for making all this possible.

"We view engagement with schools and our younger supporters as vitally important in creating a vibrant football club that is sustainable in the longer term. This is the first of many initiatives that will be undertaken by the club to enhance our links with local schools."
