Kenny returns to Ireland

Tuesday, 28th Nov 2006

Just for the day! The FAI Cup Final on Sunday 3rd December at Landsdowne Road, Dublin.

Dunfermline Manager, Steve Kenny, will head back to Ireland after Saturday's away match at Kilmarnock. His former club, Derry City meet St Patricks Athletic in the FAI final in the last match of the Irish season on Sunday. He said:-

"No-one in Dunfermline has any problem with me managing Derry for the final time and, indeed, the chairman of the club, John Yorkston, actually told me that he would be 'disappointed' if I was not in charge given the feeling I have for all those associated with Derry.

"I've been told that people want me to be involved for the cup final and I'd be very happy to end my association on a high note by winning the trophy."

Everyone at Dunfermline wish Steve and his team well and will be looking out for another success for the Manager's cv.
