19/02/10: "We are the home team and we have six games coming up, of which four are at home so it is up to us to go and get a positive result.

Jim McIntyre is out to improve his side's last performance against Ayr United:-

"Obviously they turned us over in the last game we played and we want to make up for that.  Each game is different, that game is well gone and although we played well in the first half, we didn't do enough in the second half and Ayr United probably deserved it.

"Tomorrow is a different game, we are the home team and we have six games coming up, of which four are at home so it is up to us to go and get a positive result and try and win the game.

"They have added a couple of good additions to their squad. They are all boys with decent experience.  It will be a tough game, even the 3 - 1 game here was a tough game.It wasn't an easy game either. That's the First Division for you, its all about attitude, how you start the game, we've got to be right at it from the start because when you are not, it's so hard to pick it up.

There are hopes too, to get a better result this weekend than last Saturday's result at Dingwall:-

"Certainly - but I would like to see a similar performance, especially the first half bit.  We played well and should have won the game, we should have seen the game out but two set pieces cost us."

The Manager has the option of a new striker in Ross Campbell who has a chance in Andy Kirk's absence through injury:-

"He is very sharp round about the box and he looks to get shots away nice and early.  He's not a player that's going to be a target man or link the play but he plays off the shoulder and tries to get in behind teams and hopefully that's a wee bit different to what we have."

Steven McDougall is still a couple of weeks away from fitness but Calum Woods is fit and available for selection.  Jim McIntyre himself came through Tuesday's reserve match against Ross County:-

"I felt good, it was nice to be involved and I enjoyed the game, but the old bones took a couple of days to recover, but that is only natural when you have not played for so long.  I trained this morning, so I'm fine.  My training has got to be modified, I can't train every day, I have to look after myself."

The Manager does not see his role much different whether he is on the park or in the dug out.

"I still try and coach from on the park.  That's just me I was always like that as a player to try and help people round about me and try and dictate play, if you like.  When you have plenty of experience, you try and help others round about you."

Other experience now available is Gary Mason who also featured in the reserves 1-0 win.  Macca thought Gary did fine:-

"Gary is the type of player who will break things up he does a lot of the unseen work that goes unnoticed.  He's a good player, he takes up good positions and he has a real sense of where the ball is going to break and snuffs out trouble at times.  I thought he did well.He was typical Gary Mason, unfashionable type of job, but every team needs it."
