Allan Johnston thought that his side were really poor at Ibrox, he told the media post match:-

"We lost early goals, you can see the quality that they have got once they get a bit of confidence and start playing. We made it a really long night for ourselves."

When did you start thinking about damage limitation?

"I think when the third goal went in and obviously the fourth went in really quick after that. You can see that they have a lot of good players that can hurt you but we made it too easy, far too easy tonight.

"If you give good players time and space they are going to score goals and create chances like they did tonight.

"We just have to make sure that we respond in the right manner. This is not going to make or break our season - a game against Rangers. We have to make sure that we are back on track at the weekend in the championship because that is where we want to be successful this year."

The manager revealed that Lee Ashcroft had five stitches in his head and he will now need to be assessed to see how ready he can be for Saturday`s home match against Inverness Caley Thistle. "He should be fine for the weekend."

Pressed for information on Fraser Aird, AJ replied:-

"It was just one of those decisions. He wasn`t on the bench, he was available but we have squad of players who have done well recently so we just stuck with the same squad."
