Pars visit Childrens Hospice
Thursday, 20th Dec 2012Manager and first team players visit Rachel House in Kinross
There was plenty of festive fun this Thursday at Rachel House in Kinross.
Pars players Alex Whittle, Paul Gallacher, Joe Cardle, Callum Morris and Josh Falkingham dropped by to meet the children, young people and their families who will be spending Christmas at Rachel House, run by the Children's Hospice Association Scotland.
Jim Jefferies, Gerry McCabe and Neil McCann were there too to find out more about the expert palliative care given by Rachel House staff who help create a home from home for families and their children.
The players were given a tour of the facilities at the hospice as well as taking part in some mini training exercises with some of the kids there - young Archie showed Josh a thing or two with his ball handling skills!
Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) is a charity that provides the only hospice services in Scotland for children and young people with life-shortening conditions. CHAS hospices support the whole family by offering short planned breaks, emergency support, end of life care and a range of bereavement services.
