Tuesday night`s Scottish Communities League Cup tie at the Falkirk Stadium will be the 99th meeting between the clubs in league and cup but strangely only the fourth ever in the League Cup.  Even better news is that Dunfermline Athletic are unbeaten against the Bairns in this competition.

Falkirk have a better record with 43 wins to to the Pars 33 in those 98 previous meetings. The most recent cup meeting was at Hampden in the Scottish Cup Semi Final of 2009 when Falkirk advanced to the final as a consequence of a 2-0 victory.  The teams also met at East End Park in pre season when they played out a 2-2 draw.
