Thommo the old man at 22

"There 's probably not a lot more to do to be honest and I am only 22!"

RYAN THOMSON

Technically Pars midfielder Ryan Thomson was out of contract at the end of last season but he was happy to return to the Club where he has played his football for the last eight years in the hope that the administration problem can be resolved. He just hopes that the Club gets the CVA accepted on Tuesday 30th July when the administrators have called their meeting.

"We would like to kick on from there, look ahead and forget about the past. The last twelve months have been a bit of a nightmare. Whatever decision is made on 30th July, good or bad we need to move on."

RYAN THOMSON

Ryan has appreciated the good faith that the Manager has shown in him:-

"He has stuck by me and I have enjoyed playing under him. The way the Club is just now it has been a weird situation but we have always kept a good team spirit - there has never been a problem that way."

Neil McCann has made pre season short and sharp including a lot of ball work, Ryan added:-

"I have enjoyed this pre season and all the boys are sharp and wanting to go. "

Ryan finds himself classified as one of the most experienced players. He has been promoted, relegated and been into administration.

"There 's probably not a lot more to do to be honest and I am only 22!"

He feels that is something that he just needs to deal with and help the younger ones now.

"I got help on the way through, so maybe I can help now. The young boys have come in and looked sharp, they are fit so it has been a good thing. They do not look out of place, they have got up to speed and all looked good when they have come on."

Ryan is looking forward to Saturday's friendly against Falkirk especially after the form that those younger players showed in the second half against Hearts last Saturday.

"Hopefully there will be a good crowd there to make a good atmosphere. It will be more than just a friendly!"

All this is in preparation for the first competitive match of the season which follows in a weeks time. Cowdenbeath are the opponents and Ryan will relish a return to the ground where he scored twice in the opening league game of last season's campaign.
