Dunfermline put an end to Motherwell`s Scottish Cup hopes with a good first half performance and three goals within the first 47 minutes which made it impossible for the Steelmen to recover from.
Because his suspension applies to SPL only, Ian Ferguson was available and returned to midfield in place of the ineligible Mikael Panopolous. The only other change was Justin Skinner for Chris McGroarty as Jimmy Calderwood changed it from 4-4-2 to 3-5-2
Motherwell were without their skipper Scott Leitch (injured) and Stuart Elliott so often the hammer of the Pars was left on the substitute`s bench
Motherwell opened with a flurry but within five minutes Dunfermline had a very secure grip on this cup tie The wake up call to the visitors defence was executed by Lee Bullen as he latched on to a long Scott Thomson ball to gain ground up the far
