Andy Barrowman was gutted to be left out of the Pars game at Dumbarton but he warranted his return to the starting eleven with a sparkling performance against Livingston.

The 27 year old striker scores two and helped set up two in the 4-0 win with the first goal in 26 minutes coming after a selfless lay off from Ryan Wallace after he had got the better of Livvy's Spanish defender, Jesus Garcia Tena:-

"Ryan did brilliantly to rob the defender and I just tried to offer myself and hope that he would pass it. He did and I managed to finish it; it was all down to him really.

"It was a good day's work and the Manager brought me back into a winning team from last week so it is good to repay him with a good performance and a couple of goals."

When Andy Kirk replaced him on 76 minutes Barra' was a little disappointed that he was not given the opportunity to complete his first senior hat trick. He has had a lean time on the goalscoring front since netting an impressive 29 goals as Ross County won promotion from the Second Division in 2007-08 but knew that it was the correct decision to hook him.

"I was looking for my hat trick but we have a big game on Wednesday against Aberdeen, so it was with that in mind. It was a great team performance and we thoroughly deserved the victory that we got."

He played down the suggestion that the win was easy:-

"I don't think it was easy, I think we earned the right for it to be easy with the tempo we set. We knew before the game that they liked to pass the ball and that's what John Hughes' teams are all about. We had a style to combat that and it worked very well. The midfield was great; they were right on top of them and we earned the right for it to be so easy.

"We are all delighted and it is good to be a part of team performances like that. You have to enjoy days like this but we have to keep it going because it is early days. We maybe took our foot off the pedal towards the end and it could have been more. I missed a chance at 0-0 as well when the ball went under my feet and I put it past the far post."

Andy is hoping that the disjointed play in pre-season has turned into a much improved unit as the team recorded its fifth consecutive win:-

"There are a lot of new and young players, so it takes time to settle. We are clicking up through the gears in recent weeks and if we keep playing like that we will not be far away."
