The Quarter final draw pairs Dunfermline at home against St Johnstone

This is the nineteenth time that Dunfermline has reached the quarter-final stage of the League Cup competition since it started in 1946.

The draw was as follows:-

St Mirren v Rangers
Alloa Athletic v Hibernian
Livingston v Ross County
DUNFERMLINE v St Johnstone

Dunfermline have not met St Johnstone in this competition since 28th October 2003 when the Saints won 3-2 at McDiarmid Park.

The sides have not met in the League Cup at East End Park since 25th August 1971 when the Perth side won 2-0. In total the sides have played nine League Cup ties, Dunfermline have won three, St Johnstone five and one was drawn.

Quarter-final ties are due to be played during the midweek of December 15-17.
