The Blue Toon are going well in pre season under Manager Neale Cooper having registered a fine 4-0 win over Aberdeen at home. There were four different scorers as Craig Gunn, Martin Bavidge, Bobby Mann and Konrad Kozminski.
Peterhead Football Club joined the Scottish Football League in 2000. Their ground - Balmoor Stadium, Peterhead AB42 1EU has a capacity of 4000. Cooper commented:-
"I played for Dunfermline for four years and they are a very good club with a strong supporter base. When Jimmy (Calderwood) was there I had the chance to work with the youth team, but I was in the frame for the Hartlepool manager's job and it was too good a chance to turn down."The draw could have been kinder to us as we have one of the toughest matches of the round, but we are at home and have a great chance to get our season off to a great start."
