DAFC Ladies Link Up

Thursday, 3rd May 2018

Dunfermline Athletic is embarking on an exciting new link-up with their Ladies team, Dunfermline Athletic Girls & Ladies Football Club.

The initiative aims to develop girls’ football in the area and generate more interest for women to play the game and create a close working relationship between the two and, where possible, to act as one club.

The Ladies team originally formed in 1999 as Hawkcraig United LFC quickly climbed the divisions and in 2003 became Dunfermline Athletic Ladies Football Club. They play their home matches usually every Sunday at The Fleet Grounds, Rosyth.

As part of the link up, the ladies team will wear the official DAFC home kit for their matches and promotion via the official club social media channels.

General Manager, Michael Mlotkiewicz said: “The Ladies team are an important part of the club’s vision and values, and it we feel it’s right both work together on and off the pitch. We plan to promote their matches and improve general communications with our supporters about the ladies’ team and their continued progress. We will also continue to look at avenues that the Football Club can help the team”.
