Freddie Daquin Post Falkirk

Sunday, 6th Aug 2006

"I like to play like that but I prefer to be the one looking out for the knocked downs and lay offs, maybe I am too like Mark."

The Pars make-do striker left The Falkirk Stadium disappointed and dazed.

Suffering from an injury to his right cheekbone, he explained:-

"It was a challenge two minutes from the end from a Falkirk defender" adding "I am very disappointed. We could have won that game if we had taken the chances."

Freddie was quick to acknowledge that he should have got on the scoresheet in this game. His chances seemed to come with headers, the first half opportunity from Mark Burchill's ball in from the right byeline particularly preyed on his mind:-

"I had a chance for the header if I could have got higher" said the 27 year-old Frenchman who confirmed that he was happy to play striker but felt that maybe he was too similar to his striking partner:-

"I like to play like that but I prefer to be the one looking out for the knocked downs and lay offs, maybe I am too like Mark."

Freddie Daquin will have his cheek x rayed. It looked pretty painful but let's hope this is not another injury that is going to further restrict Leish's selection options.
