"The team has got to show that they are trying to do the right things, working hard and showing the right attitude. I think the players did that today.

A large number of the Inverness Caley Thistle team and backroom staff stopped to exchange greetings with Graham Bayne as they left East End Park after the match on Saturday. Little surprise really since he spent four seasons at the Caledonian Stadium from 2004 to 2008, making 133 appearances and scoring 19 goals. Graham spoke exclusively to the website:-

"It is nice to see friendly faces but it would have been better if we had got the right result and I had been commiserating them but that's just the way it goes sometimes.

"There was nothing in the game first half, but we came out in the second half and created some good chances. There were many shots, although a lot from distance but we just didn't get the break. Kirkie hit the post and then one at the edge of the box for them. It wasn't as if it was set up for the player. It broke out high in the air for the guy. He would probably admit himself that he has not caught it great but it ended up in the bottom corner."

The 92nd minute strike from midfielder Lee Cox sunk the Dunfermline hearts and the three points were destined for Inverness.

"We didn't leave ourselves much time after that to rectify the situation so we had to take it on the chin. It was another defeat that we will just go and rectify next week hopefully."

Graham made special mention of the great support that he felt the team received in the opening league game of the season:-

"The fans were unbelievable today with the reception they gave us. It was still 0-0 and it was a sticky game but they were shouting and encouraging all the time. They saw that we were trying to do the right thing, getting it wide. I think having the wide players as well is much more exciting for them too, they are responding really well to that.

"Even at the end they are gutted, we are gutted as well but it was encouraging to see so many of them there at the end. It has got to come from the team to start with. The team has got to show that they are trying to do the right things, working hard and showing the right attitude. I think the players did that today. Things just didn't go for us unfortunately and it was just the wrong result, that is all that was wrong.

"It is a defeat and it will hurt for a bit. We can take positives from it and try and rectify it next week."
