Keeping Safe with DAFC

Tuesday, 1st Dec 2020

DAFC are delighted to announce that the club this week signed up to the “Keep Safe” campaign which is ran by the “Iamme” charity in conjunction with Police Scotland.

The focus of the campaign is to promote social inclusion while providing reassurance and support for members of our community who may either have some form of disability or otherwise be vulnerable. The charity provides details of local businesses and premises where people can turn to for support while going about their daily business in times where they may need assistance. They can do so safe in the knowledge they will be met by caring staff members who are trained to help them.

PC Kinga Miskiewicz from the charity stated “The Keep Safe campaign continues to make a positive difference to the lives of many people in our communities. Knowing that local businesses are there to support them, if needed, gives people greater confidence to live independently in our society and I would like to thank all at DAFC for getting on board and supporting our communities in this way”.

DAFC’s Disability Officer Graham Ross, added “Initiatives such as the Keep Safe campaign play a huge part in enhancing the lives of many people in our society. As a club we are determined to support our community in any way we can therefore when this opportunity came along everyone at the club was keen to get involved. I would encourage all Pars fans to support this and to raise awareness of the campaign with those it may benefit most. I’d like to especially thank all the staff at DAFC for their commitment to this cause”

Details of the Iamme charity and the Keep Safe initiative can be found at iammescotland.co.uk details of how to register for information and how to download the app can also be found.
