Manager Post Ross County

Tuesday, 13th Oct 2009

13/10/09:- "I felt that we definitely had the two best chances of the game and we should have scored. County had a lot of pressure and our keeper had a great save with his feet as well.

Jim McIntyre conceded that on the balance of play that a draw was a fair result:-

"I felt that we definitely had the two best chances of the game and we should have scored. County had a lot of pressure and our keeper had a great save with his feet as well.

"It was right good entertaining game of football; one of the most entertaining 0-0 draws that you will see. Both managers will say it was a bit too much end to end for their liking; it was very open especially the last 25 minutes.

"They are major chances and we should have buried them. They were two sitters and we have to take them if we want to move on. At least we are getting into the positions and we have created a good few chances in the last few games and that is important that we are getting back to that."

The Pars Manager agreed that his teams style was particularly offensive given their opponents 100% league record at home:-

"It was very attacking. A lot of people make a lot of us just playing one player up front, but it is as much about who you have behind them. We have offensive players and fullbacks who can get up supporting them.

"Joe Cardle gave us a lift when he came on. He is a good wee player and made a good impact with some tricky twists and turns. He put in a great ball for Graham Bayne and it is good to have that competition back. It was good to have Steven Bell back as well, it gives us a wee bit more strength in depth."

The North of Scotland media sought out some comment on Saturday's visit to the Caledonian Stadium to meet Terry Butcher's side:-

"It is always difficult coming to Inverness and playing a team that has just been relegated. They are Premier League players, their form at home has been sticky for them but we know what that is like because we have had the same. I am sure that the win they got tonight will boost their confidence for Saturday but it is up to us to come up here again and try and force our game plan onto theirs. Hopefully it will be good enough."
