Preview Inverness CT

Wednesday, 5th Aug 2009

Dunfermline last home win over Inverness Caley Thistle was back in December 1999.

Melee at East End v ICT

Inverness Caley Thistle`s relegation means that the clubs meet on Saturday for the first time in two and a half years. Everyone knows how important it is to start a league campaign well so maybe the Pars can take encouragement from the 100% record they have at East End against the Highlanders in the First Division.

Their SPL form was not so good however - four draws and two defeats have been the outcome of matches in the SPL.  Last time Caley came to East End Park was on the Saturday before Christmas in  2006 and that was a 0-0 draw.

*Pre league reconstruction

Scott Thomson scored in the first league match and Andy Tod in the second league match between the sides back in 1999.  These clubs have now shared sixteen league games and they have definitely been more successful for Caley Thistle.  Dunfermline have won four of them, with five drawn and seven lost.
