Scottish Cup Second Round (away) Tuesday January 2021. Due to new SFA Board Guidelines this match has been postponed

There was some disappointment that was possibly shared by the opposition when Dunfermline were paired with a team from their own league. Dunfermline will travel to meet Morton in the second round of this season’s Scottish Cup. With the sides having met just a month ago there will be no mysteries over what to expect.

The Fifers have won just one of the last ten meetings at Cappielow and have failed to win there over the last three seasons. That couple with the Scottish Cup record against Morton demonstrates just how hard it will be to be in the hat for the next round. The sides have met five times in the Scottish Cup and the Pars have won twice and both times that was at East End Park.

Morton struck again on the other side of half time with a goal in 50 minutes. The ball was swung in from the left touch line by Colville was met by the diving head of McALISTER and it was 2-1.

Morton forced an 84th minute corner on the right, Cadden sent in an inswinger that JACOBS, from very close range, headed over the line. 3-1
