Chris Kane scored twice in the first half to give Queens a half time lead. Nicky Clark got a goal back two minutes into the second half but when Stephen Dobbie hit a hat trick in the final 16 minutes of the match the Pars went down to their heaviest home defeat ever to the Dumfries club.

Declan McManus reduced the lead to two five minutes from time but Stephen Dobbie’s stoppage time goal sealed a miserable day for the Fifers. The visiting manager Gary Naysmith claimed that his side was different class.
