There was only one goal, it came with the interval beckoning. Stephen Dobbie was taken down by Rhys McCabe and the Dumfries side were awarded a free kick 35 yards out. Jamie Hamill sent the ball to the outside of the far post where Andy Dowie headed the ball back across the face of goal for Derek LYLE to head home the 45th minute opener. Simple but effective 0-1

In 62 minutes the Pars were reduced to ten men after Jason Talbot went in with both feet on his old team mate Kyle Jacobs. The ten men made a gallant effort to rescue a point but failed to find the net despite creating good chances.
