Stephen Glass described how he came about striking in the winner from 35 yards just seven minutes from the end of regulation 90 minutes:-

"It was a bit of good play; Tam McManus laid it back - it was wise laying it back because they had backed off and it gives you a bit of time to get a shot off. That's what happened so you have got to try it. Normally the punters behind the goal might be ducking for cover but there was none there!"

With Stephen being asked to play at left back, he has not had many opportunities to get on the scoresheet.

"I have not been that far advanced to get shots off but I am just pleased to play well and do my part for the team.

"They made it hard for us and I thought it would take something from outside the box because they were camped in a bit. They defended well and defended strong, they were a threat at the other end too and we were relieved to get past them.

"I am pleased with the goal, it was important. It is good that it didn't go to extra time because we went to extra time last week as well.It is good that the club gets to a cup final.

"Paul Gallacher pulled a great save at the end to prevent it going to extra time. They will maybe feel that they deserve something because they did quite well so its hard lines on them but if they keep playing like that they will do well in the league.

"The league is the only thing for us.When this game comes around we focus on it but all the time we know that the league is the number one thing for us this year.We have got to try and get the club back up to the Premierleague.Only hard work is going to get us there.

"We have not played great but all the lads have worked hard and dug in.That what it's going to take."

Cup tied for the Scottish Cup Final in May, this time around Stephen hopes to be part of it all:-

"Hopefully if I am playing well enough come the time.It is one to look forward to."
