Stephen Glass talked after the defeat by Clyde.

"It is another disappointing result. We seem to be getting them every week at the minute.

"I thought we did enough first half to deserve a win. They made themselves hard to beat, they got the goal and it gave them something to cling on to. We weren't good enough to break them down and that has cost us."

Could it be that Dunfermline have failed to adapt to the First Division, Stephen replied:

"It certainly looks that way, but it is not just that. We are coming up against teams determined to do well, it is the same whatever league you are in. They made it hard for us today and we have not been good enough to beat that. It doesn't really matter, Premier League, First Division, if you are not good enough to beat what's in front of you, you are not going to win.It is as simple as that."

On the suggestion that every club in the First Division as after the scalp of last season's SPL team, Stephen responded:

"I think so, but if we continue playing the way we are we will be looking at other teams as scalps. We have been playing well below par just now and I know that we can play better. Regardless how it goes week to week, we need to get better or its going to be a long hard season.

"The way the league is - if we had won today we would have gone third.I don't want to be talking about relegation battles, but it looks if any team can string two, three or four wins together they are going to be touching the top of the league. OK Hamilton have started really well but they never won today. We are only seven games in, we can't keep saying that every week, we need to be picking up wins especially when other teams are losing and drawing today.

"It is a feature of our league that there are draws pretty regular, so if you can string wins together it can push you up the league. We need to get on track and get wins under our belt."
