They won't steal my goal

Steven McDougall:- "It was nice to get the goal but better to get the three points. I never heard the announcement but I was told about it.

Steven McDougall scores 1-0

Steven McDougall was delighted to score his second goal in four days even though the stadium announcer initially credited it to Steven Bell:-

"It was nice to get the goal but better to get the three points. I never heard the announcement but I was told about it. I can't believe he was trying to steal my thunder but as long as I get in the stats then I will take it."

Signed from Airdrie United as a midfielder Steven has the faith of his manager to play him up front. Steven admitted it is a change that he is enjoying:-

"I am learning every day, hopefully I can keep scoring goals and keep my place in the team. Hopefully we can pick up three points every week."

Having been subbed six minutes from the end Steven drew as nervous as the fans watching the ten men Dunfermline hang on for the three points:-

"When you go down to ten men you are always going to be under the cosh, especially when they are chasing the game. Thankfully we held out in the end to take the three points that matter."

Steven's goals have helped Dunfermline to back to back wins that make it four wins in the last five matches.

"It is a good run that we are on but we need to take one game at a time. Most teams can say that they have had a bad patch at some point in the season, hopefully we are over that now and we will try and pick up as many points as we can to see how far up the table that will take us.

"Teams with games in hand still need to go and win the games. Playing games and winning looks good so we will definitely take that. The boys are confident just now, hopefully we can keep that going - results breed confidence."
