Dunfermline Athletic

Paul Rodger

Paul was signed by Jim Leishman at the start of season 1984/85.

Wearing the number four shirt, he vied with Allan Forsyth for the position until, towards the end of the season Norrie McCathie took over the jersey. As we all know he wore it for a long time to come.

Paul had started his career in very promising fashion, making his debut for Hearts as an eighteen year old in 1977. He also played for Alloa Athletic before heading off to Hong Kong to play for Happy Valley, before returning to sign for the Pars.

His Dunfermline career was short and he moved back to junior football before signing for Arbroath.
