It is with sadness that Dunfermline Athletic Football Club have learned of the death of former Pars captain Bobby Smith. Bobby lost his fight against illness on Monday 22nd February at the age of 56.
"I am glad to come back, Dunfermline is a nice club - I think SPL standard compared to the way the club is run.
"We clung on at times but when the game opened up towards the end of the game we could have finished it a few times."

The Pars have won ten of the last dozen league meetings. Ayr won at Somerset Park in December but their form since has been poor.

"Dunfermline always seem to have that little bit of luck that you need in the cups; we have had good runs in the Scottish Cup so hopefully that can continue.
JM:- "It is a chance for my players to show what good players they are and prove that they can play at that level. We believe that there are many in that team who can.
"There is a lot of hype surrounding them and there is a lot of pressure on them just now, they are not really picking up good results and fingers crossed we can add to their problems."
Dunfermline have never won a Scottish Cup tie against Celtic at East End Park but on the two occasions that they have got the better of the Glasgow side, the Pars have lifted the trophy.
