Dunfermline manager Stevie Crawford was a bit disappointed to leave Inverness with just one point and without the three points, he said:-
“Having said that, I refer back to our performance here last season when we came up and played a 4-4-1-1 and it was one of our flatter performances of the season. We never really carved out opportunities that day. I felt tonight that we created a number of chances in the first half.
“It was great for Kyle Turner to get his goal (of the season) because I know that he has been waiting a while on it. We see it everyday on the training pitch but it just takes that monkey off his back.
“Inverness were having a decent spell in the second half, you are not going to come up here and get it all your own way. If we had just seen it out maybe another five minutes, because I still thought that we looked a threat going the other way.
“We tried to make substitutions to go on and win the game and it says it all that we are disappointed going down the road with a point.”
The four changes to the starting eleven were a bit of a surprise, especially when you see Declan McManus, Ryan Dow, Steven Whittaker and Dom Thomas on the bench?
“The way I look at is that a lot of players have played a lot of games and they have had a lot of game time. There are boys deserving starting opportunities as well and I thought they did themselves justice tonight. The boys that we brought in, brought a freshness.
“Kevin O’Hara and Lewis McCann led the line terrifically well and it is going to be a tough week for us with having Raith Rovers on Saturday. We then have got the Scottish Cup and two fixtures against Hearts and Morton again so it is testing times on heavy pitches so we are going to have to rotate the squad.the pleasing thing is coming here and taking away a point and possibly could have played all three.”

Aaron Comrie came into the side at right back and Lewis Mayo (pictured above) moving to the sitting position that we are more used to seeing Steven Whittaker play. That worked well for Lewis?
“It is something we had done our homework on. When we had spoken to Rangers and Billy Kirkwood, Lewis had played a number of games last year for Rangers Reserves in that role. Steven Whittaker has been struggling with an ankle injury and we didn’t want him to play three quick games but Lewis Mayo came in and I thought he was terrific tonight.”
No added time winner despite the introduction of three subs capable of changing games?
“No, as I say we tried to make substitutions to try and win the game. We changed the shape a little bit but tonight it never worked in our favour. It was a decent performance on the night where we created chances and we could have possibly won the game.”
Your thoughts on last night’s Scottish Cup draw that takes you away to Morton?
“It is a tough one for us. Obviously we lost to Morton at East End a few weeks ago but they are on a good run of form themselves. Cappielow is never an easy place to go and we will face them there twice within the period of a week. It is one that we will look forward to and one that gives us a chance to try and progress in the tournament.”
Inverness Caley Thistle manager John Robertson thought that it was a terrific game:-
“There is not much between the teams and there hasn’t been for a few seasons now. It is sometimes just about a wee bit of brilliance, a wee bit of luck. Today I thought Dunfermline started the better team, they were fortunate with the goal in terms of a couple of ricochets, a block and what a good finish!
“At that time I couldn’t argue with the fact that they were ahead ...
“I don’t think there is a great deal of difference between the two teams, apart from five places in the table. The reason for that is Dunfermline have been more streetwise in the first round of the games.
“They have managed to turn losses into draws, they were 2–0 down to Raith Rovers and 3–0 down to Dundee and they managed to get a point from those games. They have turned potential draws against Queen of the South and Arbroath and scored late winners.
“They have turned defeats into draws and draws into wins and in those four games they have picked up six points. And that is where we have to get better. We need to turn these kind of games into wins as Dunfermline have.”
